Tarts and growing up

Today I was at my favourite Candies at Pali Hill, Bandra. The place was buzzing as usual, the evening crowd made its way to the never endling lines. Everyone gushing about the food, what is left and what is not. Candies is notorious for all the food being sold out by sunset. Just after ordering my coffee I was waiting and looking around, when a little kid ran and pressed his nose up against the display glass. I was damn amused, the boy was really tiny and all he could see from there were the tarts. I smiled to myself, what good is that? He can't even look at the food let alone place an order...
But before I knew it, his mum had picked up the clue and ordered exactly what he wanted!
Just then I realised, lucky kid!
Too small to even reach the cash counter, it was like an unknown world to him ! And he didnt even care...
It made me think of when I was that height (no height jokes here please) and I could only see the proverbial tarts in life and now I got to think of how to pay for them :)

But I guess life is not to bad after all, for I spotted my favourite and rarely available cheese jungli sandwich tucked in the corner of the topmost row...yeah, for some things...you gotta grow up!
